Whitney & Andy got super lucky with the sometimes unpredictable VT weather and had an absolutely beautiful day for their wedding. It sprinkled a bit right as Whitney was putting on her dress but then the skies cleared until after they were inside for their reception. This was my first time at the Ponds
and it is a stunning venue – the space inside has a great old cabin feel but with a ton of natural light and the view from the ceremony site is totally picturesque and Vermont. Whitney and Andy soaked up every last minute of their wedding and everyone just had a total blast – my kind of wedding!
Whitney got ready in one of the condos at Bolton
just a few miles up the hill from The Ponds
They ordered this adorable sign from Etsy to point people in the right direction 🙂
Heading into The Ponds to take some photos pre-ceremony!
Whitney’s dress was STUNNING. I loved the lace and it fit her like a glove.
Fun details – Whitney and Andy are huge sailors so it was a subtle theme carried through the celebration.
Their wedding colors of purple and green (with a touch of blue and white) were also carried seamlessly throughout the day.
Alison from Floral Artistry knocked it out of the park- so Vermont and lovely!
The centerpieces were all slightly different but still carried the strong theme of the wedding colors.
Apparently this was one of the largest weddings The Ponds had done – they pulled it off flawlessly and I was amazed at how quickly everyone was served dinner and the lack of time between courses….good expediting!
Some close up details of the flowers
The wedding arbor was framed by two striking arrangements in sap buckets
The ceremony begins as Andy waits patiently and Whitney’s Mom is escorted down the aisle by her Brothers
A little emotional as he sees Whitney for the first time 🙂
A larger view from the dock
Love these two as Andy reacts to Whitney and Whitney listens to one of the readings
Pretty maids all in a row 🙂
We headed down to the dock immediately after the ceremony for some quick portraits – I do my best to speed through the family and bridal party portraits wanting the bride and groom to get back to their guests ASAP!
Fun details of the bouquet and Vineyard Vines tie
An adorable guest 🙂
The toasts were very sweet and quite funny!
Whitney’s Dad looks on as his son gives a great toast
Whitney’s parents listen 🙂
And finally Andy’s Brother and his parents listen and react.
The first dance 🙂
Whitney’s fun swoopy gown 🙂
I couldn’t get enough of the lace on the gown – so classic!
Throughout the night the guests wandered around and enjoyed the scenery – two even took a late night dip in the pond!
Near sunset Whitney, Andy, and I did a few more portraits
The sunset was stunning 🙂
The Pulse played at Ross & Annie’s wedding last year and I loved them just as much this time – they are so energetic and keep people on the dance floor the whole night….great for photography!
One of the guests did a drum solo much to everyone’s delight.
1/2 way through the reception Whitney changed into something a bit more comfortable due to the heat! She continued to dance up a storm 🙂
Whitney & Andy – your wedding was so Vermont – I loved every minute of it – congratulations!!
Sorry for the dearth of posts – the busy summer season is in full full swing around here and in trying to keep up with everything else the blog has gotten a bit ignored. I have a backlog of things to post, an engagement shoot this afternoon and a newborn/family shoot tomorrow so stay tuned and eventually they’ll all get up!
A few weeks Jeff’s cousins and their two girls came up to the lake for the weekend. Due to my schedule I only got to spend a night with them but we had a blast swimming and noodling around the lake.
As the sun was setting I took them down to the dock to do a very mini photo shoot before dinner was ready 🙂
Emma searching for fish off of the dock.
We tried to get some pictures of the two of them together 🙂
Love these two of Emma.
With their Momma – Jeff’s cousin Beth
The next morning it didn’t take Sage long to find the best spot…..when we have kids I have no doubt we’ll have immaculate floors 🙂
A competitive game of Connect 4 was played 🙂
Emma trying to convince everyone that really her rules are the right way to do it 🙂
And they’re off!
It was so great to see you guys! Sorry I couldn’t stay longer and I’m VERY sorry I missed the other Herzberger clan!
Today I’m at the Inn at Round Barn Farm photographing James & Sarah’s wedding – VERY fun 🙂
Today I’d like to share a beautiful Queensberry Album that I delivered to Jessie and Joe a few months ago. 99.9% of the couples I work with choose Black leather albums with white pages and black matting around each image (which I love and which is what we have for our wedding album!) so it was exciting to see and photograph a new style of album.
This one is a 9×9 Matted Album with a Cappuccino cover, ivory pages, and Chocolate mats.
Similar to Beth & Kurt, Joe & Jessie chose a Blind Embossed Cover with Bank Gothic Font.
A close up of what makes a Matted album different from a digital album – each image is individually matted…..it results in a beautiful and classic look.
Jessie & Joe opted not to do any flip outs and to keep their album very classic.
These are my two favorite images from the wedding so while creating the design I chose to really showcase them.
Congratulations Jessie & Joe….1 year anniversary coming up next week 🙂
