Since we don’t dress our dogs up I figured it would be a good time to share the bit of seasonal decorating that’s been gracing our house this month and generally getting us in the fall spirit 🙂
I bought all these gourds + a big pumpkin for our front stoop for about $15 – well worth it 🙂
The ball of color on the right is my attempt at this Martha Stewart craft (minus the rope stem…haven’t figured out where to buy that yet!). Pathetic I know.
I asked Jeff what he thought and he told me that it looked like a ball wrapped with yarn.
I told him he needed a little imagination 🙂
The last year or so I’ve been investing in seasonal decorations when I see something I like – I loved these felted acorns and leaves from Green Baboon Designs on Etsy.
Don’t eat too much candy!
Today I’m closing out my 2010 wedding season at the Jonathan Edwards
winery celebrating with the fabulous Kim & Pete
(and Charlie their pooch!)- it will be SO good to see them again!
We absolutely LOVE the pictures! Seriously, there is not a bad one in the bunch – they are all fantastic and better than we could have ever imagined so THANK YOU! We have gotten tons of compliments on the pictures and of the slide show. Amanda, you captured this day better than anyone could have imagined!! Amazing, amazing (amazing!) work – thank you SO much for all your effort!

A few weeks ago I hung out with Baby Ellie for a day which provided a glimpse into my future 🙂
Ellie is working on her tummy muscles….that is one heavy head 🙂
Help! Time to lie down.
Or maybe sit up – this is quite a snuggly seat!
I love my exer-saucer 🙂
And then onto the activity mat….anything to keep her amused 🙂
We had a great day and I’d be happy to go back anytime 🙂
I met up with Laura & Andrew in the neighborhood where they went to Law school (and fell in love!) across the bridge in Brooklyn Heights. I always love exploring new neighborhoods and this one didn’t disappoint from the charming brownstones to the incredible views of the bridge and Manhattan.
Once Laura and I became friends on Facebook we noticed a common friend – I went to grade school with one of her closest friends and future bridesmaid….I love small world connections 🙂 From reading my blog they also discovered that Andrew had gone to high school with Jeff (though they weren’t in the same class) – too funny!
They are getting married next September at the Round Barn in Vermont and it’s going to be a blast 🙂
Perhaps my favorite 🙂
As Laura said: “If you can’t rock Love Lane during your engagement shoot when can you??”
A nice little church garden tucked away from the street
That also offered this pretty door
Love the crispness and textures here
Look at them rocking it 🙂
Gorgeous red door right on the waterfront
And a parting shot with the bridge
I had a great time – thanks for showing me around 🙂
