Baby the Pug

The other day I had the pleasure of meeting Mary and her beloved Pug Baby in West Hartford Center. Mary is the mother of Gwen whose wedding I’m shooting next year (you’ll meet Gwen and Peter soon as their engagement shoot is scheduled for Columbus Day!) and it was fun to get to know her a bit and especially meet Baby. Gwen jokes that her Mom loves Baby more than she loves her (I might argue a similar point about my Mother’s relationship with Strider!) 🙂 Mary came all the way up from New Jersey for our shoot and we had fun!

We knew we wanted to end the shoot at Three Dog Bakery so we walked around the block to get some shots.

The lady of the day. She’s getting older so has a distinguished look 🙂

In the last week the leaves have really popped – I loved the contrast between her color and the bright yellow of the leaves.

I love my Mom.

Baby often decides she is tired and stops. Mary pulls on the leash but she isn’t going anywhere 🙂

I’m not sure if this is how she got her name but she loves being held… a baby. It’s pretty cute 🙂

Outside of Arugula we found this bench with all the plants and herbs. Some of the staff came out and thankfully weren’t upset that we were using their bench for our shoot 🙂

A tip to keep a dog where you want them to stay….put them on something they don’t want to jump off of 🙂

Amazingly Baby didn’t seem too interested in the treat case in Three Dog but she was interested in sniffing just about everything else!

Gwen came at the end of our session to join her Mom for dinner so we had to get a family picture…. Mary with her girls 🙂

This was so much fun – I’ll look forward to seeing you next year!
