We spent a lovely relaxing weekend at the lake and although I did have a fun family shoot on Saturday morning I also spent some time reading and just chilling out on Saturday afternoon. I’m in the middle of “The Emperor of Ocean Park” which has been on my shelf forever. So far it is quite absorbing and I can’t wait to read on and find out what’s going to happen!
Jeff and his friends took a road trip on Saturday afternoon to buy some ice skates and by dusk we were out there enjoying our new winter toys! The lake isn’t completely frozen yet but Jeff assured us that the ice was safe enough to walk and skate on so we all had a great time.
Of course I had to take some photos of Strider and because of some treats in my pocket he was quite cooperative 🙂 I think this is one of my new favorites of him – I love the mohawk of his chest hair and the ice provided such an awesome backdrop.
Last night was the first snow of the season both at the lake and in Connecticut so I guess winter has officially begun 🙂
This week is busy – I have a trip up to Vermont planned for two portrait shoots and two dinners with friends and will be back on Thursday afternoon.
I’ll be a better blogger this week I promise 🙂 Photos from Saturdays portrait shoot coming soon!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
