I started off Christine & Nick’s wedding day at Christine’s parent’s house in Old Lyme. Christine is an artist and her paintings fill the house. I thought this one looked a bit like the girl was wearing a veil – very appropriate 🙂
Radiant Christine was relaxed the whole day – when I arrived I assumed the girls weren’t back from getting their hair done as it was so quiet! It was great to see her just taking everything in and enjoying being around her friends and family.
Her beautiful Watters & Watters gown
One last touch of lipstick!
Coming down the stairs to see her parents!
Christine and Nick opted for a first look which was so awesome – we had plenty of time to do photos before the ceremony so Christine & Nick were truly able to enjoy their guests.
Christine’s maid of honor Betsy was so sweet.
I love this one 🙂
I had fun with the bridal party (can’t remember what they were all laughing about here!)
The weather was wacky – windy, then sunny, then foggy, then misty – thankfully it never got to rainy!
Love this one too 🙂
Christine and her Mom go check out the ceremony site before the guests start to arrive
I LOVED their cake topper 🙂
The decorations were simple and very summer. My favorite color is blue so I’ve been loving all the blue linens lately 🙂
I love catching light moments during the ceremony 🙂
See the crazy foggy/sunny weather? I loved that the tree perfectly framed the ceremony site – it provided a great backdrop
Anderson’s garden did a beautiful job with the flowers
One of the main reasons why Christine & Nick opted to do the photos beforehand was so they didn’t want to miss the lawn games (croquet and bocce) that happened during cocktail hour.
During the planning Christine wrote me an email that included: “I’m hoping to find ways to alleviate Nick’s fear that he’ll miss playing lawn games during the cocktail hour :)”
Well thankfully no lawn games were missed 🙂
Love this moment between Christine & her Dad
Blinn and Besty both gave very sweet and personalized toasts – one made us laugh and the other made us cry 🙂
I caught Christine & Nick taking a break from the dancing – I love the mood of all the fog.
People had a great time on the dance floor. Christine’s Brothers were the official DJs but it seemed like everyone took a turn 🙂
Christine & Nick – have a fabulous time in Curacao!
