Fun in the Snow

So for those of you who don’t live in New England yesterday we got a dumping of snow – ten inches in Hartford. I was driving back from Vermont and it took me a cool eight hours (it usually take 3 1/2). It was pretty frustrating being stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and needless to say I was very relieved that I didn’t get in an accident and that I got home safely.

Unfortunately I returned home to our driveway and remembered that we….didn’t have a snow shovel and are responsible for our own plowing 🙂 Right….about that.

So I just gunned my trusty Volvo at the snowbank that was our driveway and fishtailed as far down the driveway as I could go so Jeff could pull in behind me. We purchased a snow shovel today and while I cleaned the inside of the house Jeff shoveled our whole driveway (I think I got the better end of the deal!) So we’re back in the game and dug out…for now.

Earlier today though Strider had a playdate with his mostest companion Buzzy. Buzzy’s Mom and I actually went to the same high school but we weren’t there at the same time. We’re both dog lovers and of course our dogs are psyched we’ve struck up a friendship which means that they get to play!

Wait – where’d he go? (Can you spot Strider?)

Oh wahoo there you are!

Tomorrow Jeff and I are driving in to NYC for dinner with my Aunt, Uncle, and Brother so Strider and Buzzy are having a sleepover 🙂 Let’s hope the snow hits after we return home and we don’t get stuck!

Have a great weekend 🙂

Amanda
