Hildene Vermont Wedding

Yesterday I shared Katie & Erik’s fun Western themed rehearsal dinner and now we are on to the main event – their wedding at Hildene! It was a pleasure to meet coordinator Janet Dunnington and work with her for the first time and as always I loved seeing what Nancy Bishop Floral dreamed up!

I started the day by stopping by The Inn at Manchester where Erik & the guys were hanging out (along with Katie’s sisters who had stopped by to drop off his present) – then I headed over to the Equinox where all the girls were getting gussied up.

Katie was so relaxed the whole day despite very uncertain weather!

All the girls in their monogrammed shirts

On my way through the tent up to the main house I grabbed a few details of the beautiful tables

I loved the fabric hanging from the tent poles – it really brought people’s eyes up and then down and created a lot of visual interest

Time to get dressed!

As we headed out to the garden to take some photos I caught site of Katie’s Dad practicing his speech which he knocked out of the PARK!

The foliage was just starting to turn and the fog made for very Vermont-y photos!

After connecting with Katie on Facebook I saw that she was childhood friends with Alyssa – what a coincidence! It was so fun to see Alyssa’s parents again!

I loved Erik’s expression as he caught site of Katie coming out of the house

The tree is so iconic and beautiful – I love it!

The best!

Super speedy bridal party photos meant that everyone got to the cocktail hour quickly

Loved both cakes made by Irene’s Cakes By Design – Erik is apparently a HUGE Larry Bird fan hence the groom’s cake and basketball cake pops!

The tent looked so warm and welcoming with all the candles and lanterns lit

Let the reception begin!

VERY funny toasts

Including this old gem of Katie that was blown up as part of Kerry’s toast – Katie was a sport and laughed right along with everyone else.

The dance floor was in full swing thanks to District 21

Congratulations Katie & Erik!
