It was wonderful to return to Round Barn Farm in another season – James & Sarah’s wedding day was just spectacular after a rainy morning threatened the outdoor ceremony!
Sarah was taking a little power nap when we arrived (very important for a bride to get her sleep!) so we began by taking a few detail shots. These Stuart Weitzman heels have been SO popular for brides this year…I loved the color Sarah chose.
James proposed with this Patriots jersey so it was appropriate that it was included in the wedding day 🙂
Kate from Blue Toad did an amazing job as always with the flowers
I was psyched the James chose to get ready outside in the beautiful light….the lack of mirrors tested their skill level 🙂
Love this one of James and his Mom who helped with the finishing touches 🙂
I hung out with the guys for a few minutes while Sarah continued to get ready – so great to have everything happening in one location!
We’re in Vermont – OBVIOUSLY we have to incorporate the moos!
James looked so dapper in his grey suit
Sarah wrote James a note in this journal and he returned the favor 🙂
Time to transform!
LOVE this 🙂
If you read my blog you know that I LOVE when couples choose to do a first look because it gives us so much more time to do photos and allows them so much more time with their guests…..good all around 🙂
This was an especially tender and emotional moment.
The Round Barn has so many amazing spots for photos – everywhere you look there’s a beautiful vista or background! James and Sarah had originally thought about having this mini barn as the backdrop for their ceremony so we decided instead we’d do their first look there!
Sarah showing off her dress to James 🙂
LOVE this one 🙂
The cows unfortunately had scampered over the hill but I still love the fence
More floral details
The bridal party looked sharp and I loved the yellow and gray theme
Sarah snuck around the long way so guests wouldn’t see her.
The Goodtime String Band fit perfectly with the location and provided awesome music
The ceremony begins!
I love outdoor ceremonies!
Come on – can you imagine a more beautiful setting?
James and Sarah both got emotional during the ceremony which made it fun to photograph 🙂
One of my favorites
A few details from the barn
Their cocktail hour was out on the grassy terrace next to the barn
The weather was perfect!
I can never resist cute kids 🙂 COME ON with the tux shirt 🙂 The little guy on the left was determined to tie his own shoelace but eventually let me help!
Right before the couple is announced in is a great time to do a few more portraits!
Mr. & Mrs!
A very happy accident 🙂
Funny toasts 🙂
Sarah had worked for months on an I-Pod mix to supplement the band and it got people rocking….even the little people!
Kathleen and I took turns manning the photo booth
Just a few more portraits right near sunset provided a little alone time to take a breath and soak it all in.
Then….more dancing and Top Gun impersonations 🙂
Sarah boogied so much that one of her straps snapped but she wasn’t too worried – she tied it off and voila – an asymmetrical reception dress is born 🙂
Congratulations to both of you 🙂
