Kelly & David – June 12, 2011
Ceremony Venue – St. Joseph’s Co-Cathedral
It was raining fairly steadily but thankfully we found this beautiful covered walkway to take some photos under before heading off to the church! Kelly’s bridesmaid had made jewelry for all the girls and I loved how the blues tied everything together
We headed over to the church where David was thrilled to see his bride heading down the aisle 🙂
The church was cavernous and so beautiful
The officiant was great and there were some light moments during the service
Kelly worked with Randi to decorate the church simply with pew markers and ribbon
Four arrangements secured with blue ribbon provided pops of color
Miraculously once we had taken care of the family portraits inside we realized it had stopped raining – hooray! We headed out on a photo safari since we had two hours to spare 🙂
Kelly bought these awesome cufflinks for David (who is a firefighter) to wear – LOVE!
My two main squeezes for the day – the awesome Barrie Fisher and close friend Jonas P! We had a great time tag teaming throughout the day to cover different angles. Barrie got so many amazing shots of the vendors in action!
Loved Kelly’s bouquet
A happy Mr. & Mrs 🙂
The waterfront (despite being flooded from all the rains lately) is still so beautiful and the bonus of it having just stopped raining was that there were about four people total down there – score!
Next we headed to the local fire station which had graciously offered to let us use their station for photographs – how fun!!
We still had a bit of extra time so the wonderful Rick from Ethan Allen Coachworks dropped us off at the top of Church Street so we could parade down 🙂
Randi did an incredible job transforming a very blank canvas into an elegant and beautiful reception venue.
Tables were simply set with deep blue linens and accented with arrangements of hydrangea. Placecards and table numbers were blue and Jordan Almonds were wrapped with customized ribbon as a favor
Cake pops – a new wedding trend and SO cute! Courtesy of Marriam at The Little Purple Cake Shoppe
I loved the combination of low and high arrangements
In the second room (which was used as a reception and dancing space) Randi brought in a birch bark arbor and decorated it with hydrangea and ribbon – it created such an entrance!
A candy bar welcomed people to the night and was a huge hit
Irene created this AMAZING cake topped for Kelly & David- everyone loved it!!
Kelly & David shared their first dance to “Smile” by Uncle Kracker
This was another great detail- Megan created this custom calligraphy guest register for Kelly and David – what a memory!
Some hijinks happened right after this photo was taken 🙂
But calm was restored as Kelly & David danced with their parents
Throughout the day Barrie was focusing on capturing all the wonderful vendors who had donated their time – thanks so much Barrie!
