Kim and the ladies got ready in a rented house in Stonington which had an abundance of natural light and charm to spare – yes please!
A few details of their invitation suite which included a fun magnet with their dog Charlie on it that said “Whine by Charlie” 🙂
Charlie is a rescue dog from Puerto Rico so he goes by many names….Charlito, Charlie Pepito Rico – any dog with his own Facebook page is a dog I have to meet (and I think suggests awesome owners too!!)
Charlie was kind enough to send his Mom flowers on the morning of the wedding 🙂
I loved the funky patterns on the curtains and Kim’s charming Sundance ballet flats
Meet the Man of the Hour. No no….not the groom 😉 but Mr. Charlie Pepito Rico himself!!!
Kelly from Jennie Fresa
made the girls look flawless and kept ahead of schedule….I like it 🙂
Oh sorry there are people to photograph? I forgot….Charlie was too willing of a subject in his cute best dog collar 🙂
As a thank you Kim gave her Mom hockey tickets to see The Bruins play. The envelope included a picture of her hunky favorite player which cracked everyone up 🙂
Ahead of schedule and ready to get dressed!
No boys allowed (even you Charlito)
The staircase in the house had beautiful light streaming in so we did a few casual portraits before heading off to the winery
Kim was probably laughing at the weather – it was slightly windy down near the shore 🙂
A trolley ferried the bride and her maids over to Jonathan Edwards
A few details before the first look…..the fall colors really popped against the green grass!
Since the sun was due to set ten minutes into the ceremony Pete & Kim smartly decided to see each other and do all the photos beforehand…..my favorite! We had plenty of time and they got to enjoy the entire cocktail hour with their guests….good for them good for me!
I loved their reactions – neither of them stopped beaming the entire day 🙂
A few more details
Did I mention it was windy??!!
The bridal party looked snappy 🙂
Charlie arrived on the scene as we were finishing up the family photos so we had to switch gears to the other family photo 🙂
I loved the way the wine barrels were incorporated and the simple and rustic bench seating….it really let the spectacular setting shine
Cute hand-made signs showed guests the way 🙂
As guests started to arrive I snuck into the tent to grab some details of the flowers. Kim & Pete had stations so the tables were just set with a square of burlap and simple arrangements
Hope of J Cakes
is a close friend of Pete’s (and was the one who recommended them to me….thank you!!) so you know she put extra TLC into their delicious cake which had two charming birds perched atop it
The pumpkin patch was where guests found their seating assignments 🙂
As guests arrived they were greeted with hot apple cider – perfect for a chilly fall day!
One of their friends designed this logo for their wedding which fit perfectly on the wine glasses guests were able to take home as favors!
Kim and her Maid of Honor peek out the window and watch guests arriving 🙂
The wonderful Erica from Jonathan Edwards
kept us all on schedule and things moving smoothly – she’s awesome and always so easy to work with!
The ceremony started right on time as Pete made his way down the aisle 🙂
Kim’s Mom escorted Charlie down the aisle but in his excitement he slipped out of his collar. It was such a lighthearted way to begin the ceremony 🙂
Kim was absolutely beaming as she came down the aisle and no wonder – Pete the photographer was snapping a photo with his Blackberry as she came towards him – so Pete and definitely a first for me 🙂
Fun ceremony moments 🙂
More laughter as they exchanged vows
Chalkboard signs announced beverage and food options
A huge college group came to celebrate with Pete & Kim including one friend I went to high school with (a connection discovered after booking via….Facebook of course!)
I stepped outside to capture the winery at night – it is such a beautiful building and the tent site is perfect!
Halloween was the next day and a few guests chose to celebrate one day early 🙂
On the left side of the top picture you can see Baby Jake’s
parents Hilary and Ryan who were enjoying their first night out post baby!
Kim and Pete danced to Better Together by Jack Johnson for their first dance
Love this one 🙂
The toasts were wonderful 🙂
Warm cider donuts and hot apple cider were brought out after dessert and were such a treat!
Kim & Pete – I’m slightly offended that you didn’t take me with you to Hawaii but I hope you had an amazing trip. Good luck in the half marathon and I hope we can do a doggie playdate soon!!
