After spending most of the weekend on Martha’s Vineyard for Mike & Becca’s awesome wedding (stay tuned later this week for that) I headed up to the lake on Sunday afternoon.
My hubby on the left and our old college roommate Scott on the right all the way from California (note long surfer hair!)
Sage was acting as a secondary lifeguard to make sure everyone made it home safely 🙂
VERY EXCITING. In early August the annual “Dog Days of Summer” event happened where all the dogs of the lake gather to compete in such things as dock jumping, agility, water retrieval, and land retrieval. While neither dog won “Best Dog” (yippee to their pal Luke who was the champion!!) Strider won for land retrieval and Sage for dock jumping. The metals given out were ADORABLE with fire hydrants and other dog related pictures on them….I was a very proud Mom 🙂
The usual scene on a weekend – everyone gathered around the table for yummy eats and fun conversation 🙂
The next morning when I woke up to take the dogs out the lake was still as glass and I couldn’t resist grabbing my camera before heading back to bed 🙂
The mist hadn’t quite burned off and was floating down the lake
Sage waited patiently for me to come back inside!
