Before Jeff and I headed south for Turkey I went over to the Morsman’s house for a photo play date. Mimi was my boss at my old job and the thing I miss most is her – we used to have a ball talking about everything under the sun and I think we both went into withdrawal when I left to pursue photography full time 🙂 Mimi is in her element surrounded by her family and it was so fun to have so many adorable little ones to capture.
Her youngest Grandaughter
We started the visit inside with snow playtime promised if everyone was good. I looked at them and said – why delay gratification? We headed outside and the pictures I got were some of my favorite of the day. The light was great and everyone was so psyched to be playing.
The California crew brave the cold temperatures!
A little Patagonia cherub 🙂
The Vermont (wahoo!!!!!) crowd. I asked their son if he would go stand by his family so I could “grab a picture.” He said “I don’t want to be grabbed” – that is one smart little man!!
Trying to catch the photographer is pretty fun 🙂
When it got too chilly outside we headed inside for dancing, singing, and…..wrestling!
Everyone gathered on the couch with “JJ & Moo Moo” for a photo
And then we added everyone for an all together now photo 🙂
A poor cardinal kept flying into the window – he obviously smelled the Vichyssoise Mimi had made for lunch. Needless to say the kids were fascinated.
Dad cracked some good jokes to get him laughing 🙂
Aunt Ginnie and her namesake sing Itsy Bitsy Spider
Don’t be fooled by the innocent expression ;). Actually – this guy was so fun to shoot throughout the day – I don’t think he can take a bad picture!
After lunch Moo Moo suggested we build a fort. The youngest had gone off for her nap but everyone else got right into it*.
*No children were injured in the making of this photograph 😉
I had such a blast seeing everyone – hope to do it again next year!
