Patrick & Stephanie’s Greenwich Wedding

Patrick & Stephanie – June 27, 2009
Ceremony & Reception: Tomes Higgins House (Greenwich)
Florist: Nobu Florist (Stamford)
Caterer: Fitzgerald’s Catering
Stephanie’s Dress: Maggie Sottero
Patrick’s Suit & Tie: JoS A. Bank
Cake: Julia’s Bakery

I met Patrick & Stephanie last summer during a shoot for the military charity Operation Love Re-United. Patrick was about to deploy for Iraq. A few months later Stephanie called and booked me for their wedding so it was great to see them again.

The fabulous Eileen Broderick assisted me on this – we had so much fun 🙂

Stephanie was super relaxed when we got there – her sister was doing everyone’s hair (and doing a fabulous job!)

Right after this photo was taken we got a call telling us that Stephanie’s Brother had been injured while setting up for the wedding and might need stitches! Thankfully he didn’t and Stephanie remained calm while we were waiting to hear!

Stephanie was one of those radiant brides you can’t take a bad photo of!

Cute snuggles between Stephanie’s sisters

The Tomes Higgins House is a GEM – beautiful grounds, a wide open porch (that day it thankfully provided shade from the sun instead of cover from the rain), and beautifully simple but classic rooms inside

Each of the table names were places that either Stephanie or Patrick have lived

Guests took postcards from each place off of a clothesline to find out where they were seated

I loved that the blue and yellow theme was carried throughout!

We did all the portraits before the ceremony which as I’ve said before is my favorite way to do it – more time enables better portraits and no one is feeling rushed to get off to cocktail hour! I would HIGHLY recommend it. Last summer after we did our first look I blogged about it – go check it out!

They are total naturals in front of the camera

Come on how pretty does everything look??!!

This idea I just couldn’t get over – it was FABULOUS. In lieu of gifts for their guests they made a donation to the base animal shelter. So instead they had jars filled with dog and kitty treats for everyone to bring home to their pets….Strider was VERY pleased 🙂

The boys file out for the ceremony

Happy handsome groom!

And radiant Stephanie

Love the wee bit of sun flare that I caught 🙂

The toasts were entertaining and moving

Their friend who is an incredible craftsman handmade this mirror for them – it was AMAZING.

They set up some fabric for an impromptu photo booth 🙂

At the end of the day Eileen and I got a treat – Stephanie and Patrick were willing to do more portraits!

And were even willing to sit on the ground! In the morning this tree was wet with the rain from the night before but by 4 it had dried out enough to sit under it. I love the texture

And the scope.

Patrick & Steph – it was so fun to see you both again – Eileen and I truly had a blast!
