On this chilly and snowy Sunday morning I am psyched to cook up a batch of comfort food. For me there is nothing more comforting than stew – it smells fabulous boiling away on the stove and provides a healthy dose of leftovers to be enjoyed in the coming days.
I’ve tried a few recipes with minor adjustments and recently came across THIS RECIPE for Veal Stew on my favorite blog for food – The Naptime Chef. We ended up doing it with beef since we had some in the freezer and I substituted crushed tomatoes for whole tomatoes as a timesaver – the results were delicious!!
