I’ve been reading away – some borrowed from friends and others borrowed from the library.
I found “Bringing up Bebe” VERY interesting – I actually read it a few months ago before I found out I was pregnant but I liked it so much I bought it and plan to read it again this fall. Approaching parenthood feels a bit daunting and I enjoyed some of the philosophies of French parenting.
My friend Wendy lent me “Here if you need me”- a quiet small book about a chaplain in Maine – quick read but lovely
“Mr. Churchill’s Secretary” I picked up at a library book sale – another easy read but good story and characters
“The Lobster Chronicles” has been on my shelf for awhile – it’s an engaging look at the life of a Maine Lobsterwoman
“The Orphan Masters Son” was lent to me by my friend Wendy and is a really interesting novel based in North Korea depicting what life might be like there. It’s hard to know how accurate it is but it certainly makes me curious to learn more.
Have you been reading any good books lately?
