Recommended: The Dirty Life

I am just back from the FANTABULOUS 2nd Annual Girls Crafting Winter Weekend at the lake. I’ll post photos of that soon but wanted to share a book that I recently finished and just loved.

I first heard about this via Blair’s Blog back in September and wrote the title down. A book about food and farming? Yes please!
My friend Sarah suggested that we do a mini book club of sorts for the crafting weekend and my mind wandered back to this book.
Last night over dinner we enjoyed discussing our different reactions to it and the way we related it to our life. I read it over New Year’s in one big gulp…..stayed up until 1:30 one night and then finished it the next morning. Kristin’s writing style is so accessible and the story is just charming.
A bonus is that their farm is located right across the lake from Shelburne so when she was sharing details of the town I could picture everything…..always fun 🙂

Anyway…..run don’t walk to the bookstore to buy this book. Curl up with a blanket (or warm dog) and a cup of tea and dive in – you won’t be disappointed!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Amanda
