I recently got to experience my first Vermont Town Meeting – a Vermont tradition that dates back to 1762. On the first Tuesday in March Vermonters gather to discuss town issues, vote on a budget, and elect local officials. I was asked to take photos for the Charlotte News so had a good excuse to stay all day…..it was great.
I did some knitting as well!
The PTO kept us well fortified with baked goods!
This little guy was remarkably patient and lasted through most of the morning!
The gym was packed during the morning session
Voice votes that were too closer to call were then voted with a paper ballot
What a neat place to live.
