This Waybury Inn wedding was way fun – Middlebury grads Pete & Laura had their ceremony at a farm in Cornwall where Pete had lived after college and where he and Laura (continued!) falling in love. Then everyone loaded school buses and headed over to East Middlebury for the party! Laura’s beautiful look came together with help from a talented team of some of my favorite vendors – Justin Cruz did her hair, Anna from Mirror Mirror was on makeup, and she purchased her dress (an Amy Kuschel) from Deb at Sewly Yours who is the BEST! The bridal party wore J. Crew and their jewelry was a gift from Laura. I hadn’t worked with Debbie from Vermont Country Flowers before but she knocked it out of the park! Becca from Missing Piece Events coordinated the day and ensured that everything ran super smoothly. The beautiful paper suite was designed by Christa Alexandra who I also worked with last fall for Laura & Andrew’s wedding and the beautiful calligraphy was done by Lettering by Liz Finally as always I LOVED working with The Pulse of Boston (who I will see again this weekend at Liz & Ford’s wedding!) – they are one of my favorite bands who time and time again have everyone on the dance floor the whole night! Onto the photos!!!
Pete’s best man Dan kindly gave Laura a lift up to her first look on the farm’s gator 🙂
MY kind of wedding!!!
The first look was emotional and beautiful as it always is 🙂
I loved the detail of the initials sewn into Laura’s dress
The wind provided a little lift to Laura’s veil 🙂
Lovely flowers courtesy of Vermont Country Flowers
One last photo before Laura headed inside to hide as the guests started to arrive 🙂
On this hot summer day the parasols and water “sold out” almost immediately
Schoolbuses shuttled guests from their hotels
Such a dramatic and beautiful moment as Laura and her parents came out of the farmhouse
Laura’s Brother played beautifully during the ceremony
Mr. & Mrs. Mellen!
The wind again came at just the right time as Laura & Pete share a quiet moment as newly minted Husband and Wife!
This gator getaway was unplanned but so much fun -I think Pete needed to let off some steam!!
After doing a few extended family photos we headed over to the Waybury Inn where the party was just getting started. The details were literally picture perfect!
I love when people decorate the tentpoles with trees – such a pretty look and another way to bring the outdoors in!
The guests were pretty psyched to be there 🙂
A quiet moment during the first dance
Raise a glass!
All together now!
And then the party really got underway 🙂
The sun sets but the party keeps rocking!
Jubilation after a successful worm!
And a fun end to the evening
Congratulations Pete & Laura!
Thanks to Alanna for being an awesome second shooter!
