It was awesome because there were almost no lines the whole day. That meant we rode Space Mountain three times, and all our other favorite rides (Indiana Jones, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Star Tours) at least once. Going on the off season is really the only way to go.
By the way…..when you ride Splash mountain you really do get pretty wet. We rode on it in the late morning and at around 5:45 my pants finally dried completely (they were literally soaked completely through…not so fun)
So we also discovered Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters.
From the Disneyland website:
Blast off to “infinity and beyond” as you join Buzz Lightyear in an interactive and intergalactic battle against the Evil Emperor Zurg. The fate of the universe is in your hands as you pilot your Star Cruiser through the treacherous terrain while zapping enemy targets and racking up points.
Obviously preserving the fate of the universe is VERY important so R.E. and I did our bestest to zap each and every target. As you can see he beat me big time (he claims it was the result of a childhood playing Duck Hunt…I’ll give him that).
Sometimes it’s important to take yourself very seriously. Really? I’m not so sure. Mostly it’s more important to just have fun and a good laugh. What an awesome day 🙂
We are such dorks – I LOVE it 🙂
I thought it was important to label this entry as “workshops” because clearly we spent the whole day talking business and strategerizing (yes I realize that that’s not really a word) 😉
