Getting lost in the woods isn’t always a bad thing, and sometimes it’s on purpose. It was definitely Tim’s plan to get “lost” in the woods when he proposed to Jenna during a moon-lit snowshoe excursion at Catamount.
At one point in their walk, Jenna was ahead of Tim on the path, thinking they were lost. She recalls exclaiming to him “Tim! Where are we! I don’t know where we are!” But this was all part of Tim’s plan, because when Jenna turned around, Tim was down on one knee (and he had been there for awhile, patiently waiting for Jenna to turnaround)!
For such a low-key, outdoors-loving couple, this proposal was absolutely perfect. As Jenna said, “it was very much us.”
And, just like Tim’s proposal, Jenna and Tim’s wedding was low-key, fun, and set in a beautiful, rustic backdrop. The ceremony and reception were held at the lovely Barn at Boyden Farm in Cambridge, Vermont, on August 8, 2015.
We started the day with the Jenna and the ladies as they got ready at a Sterling Ridge cabin, which had a great view of a pond. Quarters were tight, so Jenna got dressed on a light-filled porch. The whole day had such an easy-going feeling to it, with guests arriving in school buses and the relaxed cocktail hour. Jenna and Tim even got in all their formal family portraits before the ceremony began! The reception was a blast – everyone enjoyed the bucolic setting, and the dance floor was occupied most of the night.
I loved these shirts worn by Let’s Pretend Catering – we worked with them for our wedding and they are always top notch!
Tim arrives!
As the first bus of guests arrived Jenna snuck back into the barn
I loved when Jenna’s Brother Parker spontaneously hugged Tim when he reached the end of the aisle – it was so genuine and everyone uttered a collective “awww”
I also loved Jenna’s expression here – she was so clearly excited to be marrying Tim!
The guys were pretty excited about this tractor!
Can you imagine a more beautiful spot for a wedding?
Fun to get to see these close friends and family at the wedding!
Instead of a guest book Jenna purchased skis and had people sign them -a very creative idea and a nod to Tim’s love of “gear”!!
This little lady was grooving out to the music!!
Jenna and Tim, it was so much fun to be there as you made it official. Such a relaxed and wonderful day – we can’t wait to see more of you two!
