Behind the Scenes Connecticut Bride Cover Shoot

March 13, 2012

Last spring I had a fun opportunity to assist my close friend Carla Ten Eyck on an editorial shoot. Carla is a jack of all trades and photographs amazingly beautiful weddings. In the past few years she’s also become interested in setting up styled shoots and photographing more editorial work for magazines. Since I don’t do a ton of editorial work it was interesting to see photography from a different perspective and watch how she interacted with models and the other vendors involved with the shoot. You can see the cover HERE although the pictures below it are behind the scenes from day 2 of the shoot which I didn’t participate in. Congratulations on another cover, Carla!! xxoo

We started the day outside of the Old State House and had this fabulous old car to work with!

It takes a village πŸ™‚

The kids were lined up at the fence checking out what was going on πŸ™‚

Carla and her main squeeze Dave who is truly a jack of all trades πŸ™‚

I love love love this shot of Carla (very similar to this shot I took in 2007….what can I say….she loves to laugh!!) – she is such a good friend, cheerleader, butt-kicker (when I need it) and overall amazing person and it’s been so fun to watch her business skyrocket these past few years

The lovely Beth of White Dress by the Shore styles the model expertly

And a group shot of everyone to end the day including Tony of Datura Garden and Candice of Event Jubilee

One more detail that requires tippy toes πŸ™‚

It’s a wrap!
