Chris & Leigh Part 2 – Shelburne Farms Wedding :: VT Wedding Photographer

August 29, 2008

Since Chris & Leigh didn’t see each other before the ceremony right after we found some shade, gathered the families, and took some photos!

It is a rule of weddings that if you watch the groom right after the ceremony he will play around with his new ring πŸ™‚ Whenever that happens it makes me smile πŸ™‚

Leigh’s bouquet was created by her sister and wrapped in one of her Grandmother’s handkerchief – a lovely touch and her something blue!

After family photos were done Leigh’s sisters (yes there is a second one hiding under the dress!) bustled her up and we were on our way! How killer are her red shoes???!!

To speed the process Chris’s cousin Patrick was our chauffeur in a golfcart….Chris kindly helped me keep my lenses dust free on the journey.

I love walls. Especially barn walls πŸ™‚ After taking some pictures in the back field I inquired about whether they would be willing to zip over to the Breeding Barn for a few photos. Being the mellow and up for anything couple they are they agreed!

Yeah….it’s big πŸ™‚

Love playing with my lens flair πŸ™‚

Mark mentioned his childhood love of karate and video games πŸ™‚

I LOVE this shot. Father/daughter moments get me all choked up and this one takes the cake.

I knew I wanted to take some photos out by the vineyard with the barn in the background but the light was too harsh right after their ceremony. After dinner I grabbed them and we headed out into the field πŸ™‚

Suprise! Leigh was born on the 4th of July and LOVES fireworks so some family members surprised them after sunset

This guy had never danced before but once he started he didn’t stop – he was TEARING it up πŸ™‚

A light moment between Father and Son

My Aunt Deenie LOVES her ice-t. She used to get it from McDonald’s but now it comes from Starbucks. I couldn’t resist taking a picture of her near the end of the night when she broke it out (but she didn’t leave the wedding….the mystery remains how she got it!!)

The Phil Abair Band was AWESOME. This is my cousin Will and his wife Sarah – they had the same band at their wedding 2 years ago and both times everyone was on the dance floor….go check them out!

Happy couple at the end of the night (thank you Julia – you totally rocked this one).

Stay tuned for the slideshow πŸ™‚

PS – As you can see I’m playing around with logo ideas for my new pink background πŸ™‚

Ooh! A new post! While I was leaving a comment on an “old” post, you snuck this one in! Awesome shots. Love the ones in the field after dinner. GORGEOUS. (Also cute of the groom fiddling with his new ring!)

You nailed that fireworks shot. What were your settings?
