Engagement Session Photos from Daria

November 14, 2007

A few weeks ago we were up in Vermont for a weekend and had our engagement session with the wonderful, amazing, talented, and FUN Daria Bishop. Obviously as a photographer the absolute hardest/most important decision of the wedding was who we would hire to photograph it.

I’ve been following Daria’s work for a while now and knew she was our first choice. This decision was supported by the fact that she was my cousin Heidi’s photographer at her wedding this summer and did a fabulous job.

Daria suggested we head to the Shelburne Museum for our photo session and I’m so glad we did. There are so many buildings all over the grounds and photo opportunities are around every corner. We did some more serious ones but I think the image she captured of us as Rebecca and Samuel is pretty much the only take where I’m not laughing.

Of course we’re kind of dorky – you all knew that already 🙂

Enjoy and THANK YOU Daria – we love you!

Daria hooked you guys UP!! WOW, she did a killer job. I love that there is a Strider shot on her blog, it just wouldn’t feel complete without him. In fact, that is exactly what Georgie said when she saw you ‘where’s Strider?’

These are great photos. Daria photographed my wedding in downtown Burlington in early September and I couldn’t have been happier. We are a few days away from our slideshow and proofs and I just can’t wait!

You will be thrilled to have her and Andy on your wedding day. I wish you all the best. I enjoyed looking through your blog — beautiful images! You’re very talented.

If you haven’t booked all your vendors yet let me RAVE about a few I loved!

1) Dana Barrow (florist) from Fresh Floral Design Studio in Shoreham, VT. I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Dana — her vision, her communication style, her artistry, great energy and dedication — oh yeah, and her STUNNING flowers. She featured our flowers on her website — check it out here:

2) Alison (owner/baker) at Mirabelles in downtown Burlington. Our cake was beautiful and sooo yummy! We went with the butter cream for taste (never tasted her fondant, but have heard it’s not as good) and she made it so smooth and elegant!

Tell them both Lindsey & Nate sent you 😉
