Farm Wedding :: Gallagher & David

November 20, 2012

This was a very special wedding. After working on his parent’s farm for the past two years and creating a CSA, Gallagher and David were married there in early November. Guests arrived and were invited to stroll around the farm, visiting the animals and sampling delicious food at various locations around the property. Then as the sun set, guests picked up candles that doubled as placecards and paraded up to the ceremony site overlooking the property. Pyres were lit by the two families individually, and after reading the most heartfelt, funny, and sweet vows I have ever heard to one another, Gallagher & David lit their own pyre in the center drawing from their family’s fire. The bridal party and families then gathered in a circle around the pyre to bless the rings and after being pronounced, David & Gallagher let the procession to the tent with torches. Visually it was a stunning day but beyond that there was a profound sense of love and support as these two people joined together officially – what a privilege to be there. Enjoy the photos.
