Late last month I had the opportunity to work on a really neat collaboration with two of my favorite floral artists (among others) – Randi Nonni of Silver Toad Floral Design and Alison Ellis of Floral Artistry. They approached me with the idea to do a shoot where they both did their individual takes on a dessert table and a tablescape on the same day – I thought it sounded like great fun! We all gathered at the beautiful Ferry Watch Inn and were joined by Danielle of Bake Aria, Christa of Christa Alexandra Designs, and wonderful rentals courtesy of Vermont Tent Company. It was a stormy day and we anxiously watched as big thunderclouds rolled across the sky and the rain came down in buckets but it paused a few times long enough for us to get what we needed – enjoy the results of everyone’s beautiful work!
First up a dessert table by Alison & Danielle – YUM. (Some desserts were sampled in the process and I can attest that they taste as good as they look!)
A mix of details of desserts from Randi & Alison’s tables
Randi was hoping to set up her table outside on the lawn but the barn doors provided the perfect backdrop as we waited for the rain to subside
Randi also set up this adorable picnic scape complete with candles hung twinkling from the trees
Christa brought invitations to mesh with the colors that Alison & Randi worked from
Randi’s beautiful bouquet – I loved the pop of color!
And Alison’s summery bouquet with her tender little Lily of the Valley boutonniere at the base
We found a hook on the side of the barn and decided to hang the bouquet. Right after this photo was snapped the sky opened up and we rushed back inside!
Next up was Alison’s tablescape – I loved the simplicity and tonality of the elements
Another angle on Randi’s bouquet
The rain had cleared so we carried Randi’s set table outside for some shots under a lovely canopy of trees – again I loved her vivid colors and how the purple was really set off by the lush green grass and trees
If you are looking for a venue for your wedding check out Ferry Watch – the grounds are gorgeous and it is right on the lake – hard to find in this area!
Thanks to all my collaborators for a fun day….and for letting me take home beautiful flowers and yummy desserts!!! xxoo
