Fia – 15 Months

December 15, 2010

I headed up to Vermont for a few days the week after Thanksgiving to catch up on seeing some family….it had been too long! We’re going up for Christmas but I just couldn’t wait that long πŸ™‚

First on the agenda these days is seeing our Goddaughter Fia who is getting very tall and very verbal.
She was fascinated by the camera at first

Love the difference between these two and how you can see her cute little teeth popping through πŸ™‚

Dad was starting to cook dinner and Fia wanted to help πŸ™‚

She’s really got the hand eye coordination thing down and was picking up peas individually with great speed πŸ™‚ When she was all done and waiting for Ave to bring more food she got a little goofy πŸ™‚

Her reaction to the news that Mom is home…..PRICELESS πŸ™‚

Excited arm waving for Heidi πŸ™‚

And some snuggles (though not for too long….she has things to do!)

She loves hanging upside down and throws her head back with laughter as she comes back up.

This is where it got really really cool. I missed crawling but can say that I was there for her first steps – SUCH an honor!

The cordless phone was used as encouragement πŸ™‚ I love Heidi & Ave’s reactions πŸ™‚

With a bit more practice and help from Mom

She was ready to give it another try. Clearly she doesn’t know what the big deal is but would be happy to clap for herself πŸ™‚

The brightest spot in the house provided beautiful lamp light (as you can see it was pitch dark out so for all of these I had my ISO cranked and my aperature way open to 1.4)

Brushing teeth and then it was up to bed so the adults could have some time together πŸ™‚

The next night Ave picked Fia up early from daycare and dropped her at my house for a little while. After an hour she was getting a bit cranky so we headed back to their house for more playtime before Mom got home

More eating happened πŸ™‚

Fia Mom’s coming through the other door

Mommy’s home!!!!!!!

A little reading before bathtime

And more practice standing and dancing (which she found hilarious)

And then it was tubby time πŸ™‚

Getting up to check things out – such a contrast to the first time I photographed bath time πŸ™‚

She loves her magic wand

It’s only been two weeks but I can’t wait to see her again over Christmas πŸ™‚
