Greg & Lauren

February 13, 2008

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Lauren & Greg’s wedding. They got ready at the Hartford Marriott, their ceremony was at the United Methodist Church of Bolton, and the reception was downtown at the Hartford Club. Everyone had a great time and danced up a storm to the fun Rhythm Nation Band.

I had two awesome second shooters along – Carla Ten Eyck for the whole day, and Robert Norman who came to the reception to try out his new D3. With three of us there we made sure all of the angles were covered, and it was interesting to see the same moment from three different perspectives and to see what each of us envisioned as we clicked the shutter. A huge thank you to both of them for coming along.

Lauren & Greg – congratulations and enjoy the photos!

Lauren’s childhood rabbit came along to the hotel to keep her company πŸ™‚

Lauren was stunning – her eyes are so expressive and she was glowing the whole day

Security let us into “Crush” – a hip lobby bar so we could snap some photos on the modern white couches.

Lauren’s grandmother was TOO CUTE

A serious moment

And then they cut loose πŸ™‚

We stole the last few minutes of light to take a few photos outside the church

The toasts were great and it was fun watching Lauren & Greg react

Greg’s Brother got up first but then Greg’s Dad joined (and stole!) the show πŸ™‚

Lauren dancing with her new Brother in Law

There is something about Father/Daughter dances that makes my eyes well up – this one was especially poignant

Robert took this shot of Carla and me at the end of the night – someone needs to take us on a Caribbean vacation – we need a little color!!

Thank you so much again to Carla & Robert – you guys were awesome!

awesome stuff ladies!! looks like you guys had a blast!

wow good stuff. i especially like the first two black and white (especially the second, with her face looking down), and the one with the bride walking barefoot out of the limo.

We had so much FUN, huh Miss Harris!

Great job Amanda! The bridal portraits look awesome. Love the one of her smelling the flowers on the couch. Gorgeous!

Great shots. I too love the bride in the snow, then to read and see that she is barefoot! Amazing! That should be entered in a contest!!!

the barefoot in the snow shot is so powerful. Awesome catch.

What a wonderful event. You guys really caught it all. She is a brave soul to walk on that cold ground. Whatever it takes though.
