Joe & Sarah’s Wedding at the Woodwinds! – Part 1

November 19, 2008

Joe and Sarah ended my season with a bang, a cadillac, and a cake smash πŸ™‚

Carla & Jamie came along as second shooters and we all had a blast!

When Sarah first contacted me it was honestly one of the nicest emails I’ve ever received – it made me feel all warm and fuzzy and happy inside so it was a great way to end the year. Since then we’ve had a fun time getting to know one another. Every email I receive from Sarah is in a different color and font – it’s one of those special Sarah things that people who know her appreciate πŸ™‚

Joe & Sarah are so loving and sharing with their friends – they are the kind of couple who does things for people out of the kindness of their hearts not expecting a single thing in return. Well their friends and family came out in droves to support them as they made it official after more than ten years of being together!! They actually met in middle school but unfortunately no photographic evidence exists of that time πŸ™‚

So enough talk…..onto the pictures!

We started the day at the Elite Creations Salon in Wallingford. I love salons and all the mirrors – endless fun πŸ™‚

Sarah was so excited for the day but still took the time to make sure everyone else was good to go πŸ™‚

We stopped by their house briefly to pick up the dresses.

And of course marrying into an Italian family is cause for celebration….and limoncello!

We headed over to the Woodwinds and everyone got dressed. Joe & his guys were very relaxed and there was lots of joking around.

Sarah’s Dad sees his daughter for the first time πŸ™‚ Sarah started to cry πŸ™‚

Joe & Sarah opted for a first look and also chose to do all the family portraits before the wedding which worked out great. Once the ceremony was over all that was left was to party πŸ™‚

Did I mention there was a cadillac? We had lots of fun shooting both Joe & Sarah and their bridal party in and around it. Sarah was the first bride I’ve had who had her bridesmaids sign her shoes. Not only was it her something blue, but at the end of the night whoever’s name has faded the most will be the next to marry πŸ™‚

It was a very sweet ride πŸ™‚

The flowers and bouquets were gorgeous – Jennifer Hodgins of The Brandford Flower Shop did an amazing job!

Stay tuned for the next installment!
