July 4th Weekend at the Lake!

July 22, 2010

July 4th weekend is always the big kick-off to the summer season up there. To boot it was the first weekend that the house was fully back put together after the renovations – hallelujah! We had anywhere from five people to thirteen plus three dogs so it was a full house and a very fun time πŸ™‚

Sage the marvelous jumping dog πŸ™‚

My cutie patootie Hubby about to go for an evening swim πŸ™‚

We were taking care of our friend’s dog Hobie for the weekend so he added to the fun as well πŸ™‚

Attack dogs i.e. the doggie armada πŸ™‚

On Saturday there was a quadrathalon – Cathy did an ironwoman and Giles was part of our house team and then just decided to finish….except he didn’t have a bike….so he ran πŸ™‚

I was the timer/organizer of everyone but I had a lot of help (from people who actually remembered to start the timer on time – oy!)

Our oven still wasn’t in so we went over to our neighbor’s house to bake the pepperoni bread – yum πŸ™‚

Little Teddy is getting big!

Life is not always easy.

Mom and Teddy heading to dinner

Later on I wandered down to the lake to photograph the adorable children in all their July 4th glory πŸ™‚

The light was beautiful.

Then it was time for the Tom Leary memorial marinade-off – five different recipes eaten together (in small portions) and compared….yum πŸ™‚

The dogs were big fans πŸ™‚

Later there was lots of snuggling….soo sweet πŸ™‚

Sailboat Sunday!

More activities on Sunday – this time the North Trail vs. South Trail baseball game. Thanks to our athletic guests the south trail dominated – woot woot!

All together now πŸ™‚

Sleepy time πŸ™‚

We took a few family photos for a hopeful website update soon.

We love eating late and watching the sunset on the dock – heaven.

Happy July 4th!
