Lauren & Colin – May 28, 2011

Downstairs her niece Grae was chowing on some lunch while her Dad practiced his speech in the garden. Lauren was totally relaxed and taking everything in (and generally smiling a lot!!)

I joked with Lauren that this was the dream team – a combination of Jennie Fresa of Jennie Fresa Beauty Library and Yumiko of Hana Floral Design – I knew everything would be impeccably done!

Lauren told a funny story about how on his wedding day her Brother did a little dance saying “I can’t wait to marry Leigh, I can’t wait marry Leigh.”

Colin’s sister Molly arrived and highly approved of the preparations

And then it was time for Lauren to don her stunning dress!

The week before she had graduated from medical school and officially become “Dr. Albrecht” – the sign had been her Father’s π

Lauren has so much energy and happiness in her smile – it is so infectious π

Colin was thrilled to see his bride coming towards him

And the Priest who performed the ceremony was wonderful

Mr. & Mrs.!

Yumiko didn’t disappoint – the flowers at Harkness were stunning. Such nice soft colors that fit the mansion perfectly

We headed out to the gorgeous grounds to do some portraits

More floral details

This was something I hadn’t seen before but it perfectly fit with the oceanside venue – flowers tucked into mini tote bags – LOVED π

Guests arrived and started to mingle under the tent, spilling out onto the lawn

Even the mantles were decorated!

Before everyone took their seats for dinner Colin & Lauren were announced into the cocktail tent and treated to toasts

A combination of delicious (I had one!) cupcakes and a tiny cake on top was a fitting dessert!

As people dined we headed back out to the gardens for a few more sunset pictures

And then the fog rolled in – such dramatic weather on the shore!

Lauren’s 93 year old Grandmother used to be a singer so she treated the guests to two songs which everyone went nuts for π

And then proceeded to tear it up on the dance floor π

This guest did a knockout imitation of Elvis and also sang two songs π A talented bunch!

A family sword is traditionally used to cut the cake so Colin & Lauren followed suit π

The evening drew to a close with a bouquet toss π

Colin & Lauren – I hope you had a fabulous trip – enjoy!!
