Little Compton Summer Crafting

August 2, 2013

My best friend Sarah and I escaped to her in-laws place in Little Compton, RI two weeks ago for a sweatshop of a crafting weekend in conjunction with our close friend Blair’s wedding – so much fun! The Husbands were invited to the wedding but we decided to un-invite them and have a girl’s weekend instead – very important to carve out girl time with babies on the way! Sarah is due in a few weeks and I’m hoping to be there to photograph the birth of her little girl – I can’t wait.
She was working on a VERY complicated clamshell quilt for the little lady while I tackled cutting out a number of pairs of Quick Change Trousers for both our little one and to give as gifts. Of course it was about 95 that day so we turned the fan on and took lots of breaks for stretching and water. I didn’t bring my camera to B’s wedding so sadly have no photographic evidence of all the beauty but it was a blast!
Not a bad view to wake up and craft to
