The ceremony begins….
While Ashley was trying very hard not to cry Mark just had the sweetest expression on his face as Ashley and her Dad reached the end of the aisle…
He was very attentive to his bride 🙂
Ashley was so cute – during her vows she started to really cry but was just so elegant and composed about the whole thing….it made us all smile 🙂
The Noank Baptist Church is a dream to shoot in – huge windows, center and side aisles, and a balcony that my assistant Rob was rocking. Justin & Mary were married there last October and I fell in love with it then 🙂
So Ashley excitedly told me the week before that she had convinced her Dad (well….she had to convince her Mom more!) to let them get away in his old truck. They stayed inside the church while everyone formed a gauntlet outside which they then ran to and into the waiting truck. Thankfully my car has a sunroof (note to self…this is a must for future cars) so of course I was standing up and shooting during the trip as Ashley’s veil blew all around her head 🙂
There is nothing like a newly married couple to make everyone feel all warm and fuzzy inside. During the five mile trip EVERYONE honked their horn, stopped to wave and shout – it was just a giant love fest!
The truck has a great horn like you hear in old movies. It made everyone laugh every time it went off
After some bridal party portraits we walked through the Seaport and of course what did I find….a wall 🙂
My name is Amanda and I am a wall-o-holic.
Love Ashley’s expression as they dance to Coldplay’s Green Eyes
Ashley’s sister Amanda gave the most lovely toast reflecting on how their family has grown in the past few years. It was so well delivered and touching (it must have been that last minute practice in the telephone booth that did it 😉 !)
And Mark’s Brother Sean gave quite the roast which had everyone in stitches
After Ashley’s Dad’s toast they took to the dance floor – this moment always gets me.
Ashley gives her Brother Sam a squeeze
To finish up a few details…
Under Ashley’s awesome veil she wore a feather – subtle but so classy
On her bouquet she attached her Grandfather’s altar boy pin
And this I hadn’t heard about before – all the table numbers were pictures of Ashley & Mark at that age – SO CUTE!
Slideshow coming soon….
