On Monday and Tuesday I was up at the lake for the second annual PUG retreat – which went off without a hitch π Everyone seemed to have a great time relaxing, doing some goal setting, and just generally learning from each other and about themselves.
This year instead of packing the schedule full we only had one assignment – to come up with a list of 101 goals to accomplish in 1001 days. At the beginning of this year I went up to Tunxis for a day and created my own list. Some of those things I’ve already accomplished but it was nice to check back in with the list, make some adjustments, and just really think about where I am and where I want to be in 1001 days.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended for being such wonderful guests – everyone was so helpful, friendly, and just generally awesome that it made it really fun for me to be a hostess π
A conference around the float π

So ends the people photographs!! On to the dogs! Strider and Cooper had a fun time hanging out. I am looking forward to a doggie day at the lake with Jo & Dave of Allegro Photography on August 20th….if anyone else wants to crash the party let me know. There is only 1 requirement- you must bring a dog π
Strider and Cooper took turns leaping for sticks

Go ahead and throw it already!

Strider has a habit of launching himself fully off the dock and then tucking his legs under him to make his landing π

Best buds.

Whoever goes in first gets the stick. The other pooch waits on the dock and then steals it and captures the glory. A pretty smart and tricky strategy if you ask me….both dogs employed this strategy equally π

Going in for the steal

Yay for Cooper!

And we finally got Cooper to leap off the dock!

Thank you again to everyone who came – I’m psyched for next year!

You rock, Amanda. Love the pix. And can’t wait to see you and Strider again on the 20th.
The pooch report; you are too cute. Thank you for being such an awesome host. You did a beautiful job coordinating it all. I had such an awesome time! Can’t wait for next year π
Sorry, Robin- Mr. Strider is staying home for some Dad time π
Thanks for hosting sister, you did a great job!
Love the conference shot π
you are too funny with your pooch report. i knew we’d be seeing a lot of those two! does my boyfriend get to come with us this weekend?
I’d SOOO be all over a doggie retreat… if I didn’t have a fat sausage who sinks like a rock. π And who would have to wear a lifejacket at all times and be the pathetic dorky kid around all the cool labs, goldens and giant schnauzers. =)
I had SO much fun Amanda! Really! A gorgeous place, a great group, yummy food… it was a perfect escape. Please thank your family for me. And thank you so much for hosting! -Julia
