Last year it felt like we were the only people who didn’t plan a vacation to somewhere warm in the winter. For awhile it was ok but then by the end of March when I had seen endless beachy photos on Facebook and Instagram I determined that in 2015 we WOULD take a break from the VT winter and go somewhere warm!! So this year off to Turks & Caicos we went. We stayed at The Royal West Indies where my cousin’s Mother in Law has a condo and we went at the same time as them so had a blast hanging out. Going on vacation with friends isn’t for everyone but with kids Norah’s age it is perfect and we had a better time as a result. Norah loved exploring the property and (eventually) learned to like the water (mostly dipping her fingers into the salt water and then licking them!). I savored nap time to read by the pool and it felt SO indulgent – my idea of heaven!
The first two days we were there the weather wasn’t great (which is VERY relative compared to Vermont) – cloudy and a bit rainy at times but we found our own fun – for those days I was very happy for Norah to have company!
Norah liked happy hour almost as much as we did!
The first time she spotted the moon!
Norah’s accommodations were in the closet hoping that she’d sleep better. That didn’t quite happen and she spent a lot of time in bed with us. Oh well – thankfully she got back on schedule quickly once we got home!
She loved playing with Holden’s trucks and boats and we got her some tractors of her own when we got home!
Cousin love!

Hoping for friendly neighbors on the way home!
AND we met up with Grandpa on our layover in Philly – the best!!
