I was so incredibly incredibly honored and thrilled to be there when Sarah’s daughter Emily came screaming into this world. Sarah and I have been best friends since high school and despite being in different states I was determined to make it work and be there to support her. Almost a year ago I was there when she welcomed beautiful Henry and that too was an amazing experience. This time we were all keeping our fingers and toes crossed for Emily to be healthy and oh boy is she – 6 lbs. 12 oz. worth!
The birth was quite a process and Sarah was such a trooper – I got there about 22 hours before Emily was born so documented that period as well as when she arrived at 9:40 AM. So much emotion and gushes of tears when we heard her screaming. Sarah I love you SO much and I’m so proud of you.
Welcome Emily Waldo Jagger! xxxoo
Henry was watching over us the whole time
Walking to try and get things moving along
Emily kept us all laughing
Tay listens to the heartbeat
Too bad they wrote PM – otherwise they wouldn’t have been so far off!
As night turned to morning things started to intensify
Sarah’s close friend Stephanie had delivered Henry and kept a close eye on Sarah throughout her labor with Emily – she was such a treasured part of the team
We tried to catch some winks while we could
Almost time to start pushing – we can’t wait to meet her
The most beautiful sound and sight – a healthy Emily!
Emily is named after Emily – another of Sarah’s close close friends – many more tears were shed when that surprise was revealed and it was so special to witness
Loved watching the relationship between Stephanie and Sarah
Getting acquainted with their little girl
Relieved and happy midwives
And a good eater already!
Sarah’s Mom was so proud of her and excited to meet Emily
First family picture
The feminine side of the labor team!
After an hour of snuggling with Mom she got weighed and foot printed to make things official!
Sweet Emily.
Shortly after Reid got to hold her for the first time – love at first sight
Gone but never forgotten
