Zach & Talley’s wedding day was perfect – despite forecasts of rain earlier in the week there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the sun was shining!! After getting her hair and makeup done in the salon we all met up at the Gasparilla Inn to watch Talley don her dress

Her bridesmaids were suitably delighted by the gorgeous Vera Wang gown

Brides take note – record a video to remind others how to tie the bow…..with laptop in hand a successful bow was tied πŸ™‚

All the girls gather in their monogrammed robes (a gift from Talley) before she heads off for the first look!

Zach and Talley opted to do a first look which is my favorite way for the day to unfold. It leaves plenty of time to do photos and I find everyone is more relaxed when the ceremony begins. Talley and Zach decided to meet up at their ceremony site under the banyan trees – a 3 minute golfcart ride down the island πŸ™‚

Love this moment πŸ™‚

Happy πŸ™‚

Love this one- the sweep of the trees and the full length shot of Talley’s amazing dress

Some individual portraits

For a second location we went to the local library. Talley & Zach thought about getting married in the charming courtyard but it wasn’t big enough! The front doors provided the perfect backdrop and a small gust of wind came at just the right time to show off Talley’s heirloom veil which had been worn by nine women previously – so so special.

We finished at the library and headed back to the Inn where we did portraits on the porch so everyone stayed cool(er!). I loved that each of the bridesmaids chose their own neckline so they really had a unique look.

Then it was time for the main event! In the photo on the right Talley is catching a glimpse of her Mom πŸ™‚

Happy bride and groom!

Zach’s Brothers were co best men – her maid of honor Katie took charge of her bouquet πŸ™‚

Talley’s Brother did a reading

I couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous canopy the Banyan trees provided

Another view with the planters that set off the aisle – exquisitely created by Julio

It cracked everyone up how you could just TELL how much Talley wanted to reach across the aisle and sweep Zach up and give him a big kiss. She had to wait a few more moments until they were officially allowed to smooch πŸ™‚

Mr. & Mrs πŸ™‚

Do they look happy or what?!

A bagpiper met them at the end of the aisle to lead them back to the inn

It was quite a festive group!

Love how they are surrounded by all their friends. I shared one of my favorite images from the parade in a sneak peek a few days ago

Zach & Talley created a signature drink – a raspberry mojito πŸ™‚

After a few group shots outside I headed inside to capture the transformed dining room. I loved how understated and elegant the tables were – the candlelight brought a beautiful glow to the room and it just felt so intimate

The cake’s design gave a nod to Talley’s background as an architect

These were SO clever – Talley’s family has been coming to the Inn for 25+ years and one of the great traditions of the club is that stand up bingo kicks off every meal (more on that to come).

On one side the placecard/menu card….on the other – Bingo!!

Zach and Talley have recently re-located to Zurich (be SURE to check out Talley’s fabulous blog that details their transition!!) so the escort cards were luggage tags with their address on it and the message “Come visit us!” On the other side a popular phrase “What is your favorite run at Davos?” was translated….so personal and sweet

The paper suite was so well thought out and it tied in throughout the weekend

My favorite was the schedule of events for the weekend – illustrations done by the bride herself!!!

A bagpiper led the procession into the dining room for dinner

A few candids – Talley’s Grandmother, Brother, Mother, and Zach’s Dad πŸ™‚

Back to the bingo…..everyone stands up and then as you match a letter and number you sit down until there is only one person left. Talley’s Brother and his friend announced the results and Talley’s friend Nancy was the winner of a Swatch Watch….another nod to their recent re-location to Zurich πŸ™‚

Talley’s Dad gave a touching toast

Zach’s Brothers gave more of a roast πŸ™‚

And then Zach provided an encore to his very sweet toast from the rehearsal dinner and paid tribute to his new wife!

After dinner people headed out to the living room for cake and dancing πŸ™‚

They shared their first dance to Ingrid Michaelson’s “The Way I am”

After Talley danced with her Dad and Brother

And Zach had an informal dance with his Mom πŸ™‚

And then the party started πŸ™‚

Talley and her Mom had the brilliant idea to have a photo from a ski trip to the Alps blown up and make the background to the photo booth. Appropriate Swiss themed props were also incorporated and it was a TOTAL HIT!!

Cowbell anyone?

Talley handmade the speech bubbles πŸ™‚

(the living room got quite warm so the bridesmaids compensated by rolling up their dresses!!)

The newlyweds finally got their turn in the booth alone πŸ™‚

Talley, Zach, and I went to high school together so it was fun to gather the group (or at least most of us!) together for a shot expertly captured by my fabulous friend and second shooter Eileen!

Talley and Zach went to high school together but didn’t get together until they were both at Yale so needless to say the Yale group shot was HUGE!

Around midnight snacks came out including sliders decorated with Swiss flags….I think Talley and her Mom thought of EVERYTHING!

Near the end of the night Talley changed into this fabulous little number to bring her into the after party which went until 3:00 πŸ™‚

What a night! What a weekend! THANK YOU so much for having us along – we had an amazing time πŸ™‚
